Handmade Crochet Covers for Nook or Kindle in purple

This pattern is really different from the rest of my pattern, because I didn't form a circle to create this one.  Its actually stitch on both sides.  I love the deep purple color of this Nook cover.  the only thing I wish I could have done a bit better is the opening, maybe I should have crochet around the opening to give it a bit more clean look. 

What to do with ugly yarn

You go to your local craft store looking for yarn and you see some on sale.  But boy they are ugly.  That's what I used to think.  I avoid getting yarn that are on sale because I thought they were ugly.  Because of the yarn that are on sale are those multi color yarn.  But now, I look forward and can't get enough of those sale.

What do I do with those ugly yarn, I mixes them with solid colors that will match the multi-color yarn. an example of that is what's pictured above.  A Shade of brown yarn and a solid chocolate brown yarn is use to make the Nook crochet covers  above.
